Christmas on Franklin
A cherished Mains family tradition spanning over 40 years has inspired an entire neighborhood to celebrate the holidays. The Sherman family, whose grandmother was a long-time resident of Franklin Street, embodies the spirit of sharing joy and fostering community connection.
Christmas on Franklin is the result of the hard work of numerous neighbors who come together to decorate their homes and spread holiday cheer. Each season, thousands of cars stream down Franklin Street, where over 12 properties are adorned with more than 200,000 lights, hundreds of festive figures, and five stunning nativity scenes. Visitors can drive or walk through the enchanting displays, and on select nights, enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate. A variety of choirs and musical acts, along with special visits from Santa Claus, enhance the festive atmosphere.
The main highlight on Franklin Street is the magical snowfall, creating a delightful experience for the entire family. Join us throughout December, with lights on from 5 to 10 PM, accompanied by music and entertainment on select nights. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Sherman family and all the neighbors who work tirelessly to keep this holiday tradition alive. Christmas on Franklin has been recognized as one of the largest holiday displays on this side of the Columbia River, often compared to Vancouver's renowned Peacock Lane.
